I write a lot in my spare time, and I'm starting to get into more reportorial freelance writing for magazines and such. I'd love to go abroad and teach english, but I'm not sure if I'd still be able to pursue this sort of writing while abroad.

Does anyone else write (fiction or nonfiction) while teaching in a predominantly non-English speaking country? And tips for writing while abroad? Are there certain countries that are more amenable to this (ie, having english libraries, widespread wireless Internet service, writers communities, English-speaking locals you could interview, or just a few local cafes or pubs where you can sit and write without distraction)?

If you send me a PM, I could tell you about a group of amateur and professional writers, mostly Americans. Some are in foreign countries (Greece, for example). The group has an email list that you might get on and receive continuous updates (lots of chatting, but very helpful people with various writing experience). Many writer wannabes there, too.
