I'm going to ask this anyway...
Is there a section on this website for Jobs just in Japan?
I don't mean discussion forums etc about Japan - I mean employers looking to recruit. I'm particularly interested in colleges/high schools. Not too fussed where in Japan.

You know, you'd have been better to ask this in the Japan forum, but what the heck, I'll lend a hand.
Look at the top of this page. Click on Job Links. Then click on Asia, and you'll see one more link to Japan.
Otherwise, where have you been searching? For public high schools, there are the JET ALTs and dispatch ALTs, and for private HSs, you probably have to get lucky with the usual online ads or The Japan Times www.japantimes.com (and its Monday paper edition), or you have to know how to read enough Japanese ads http://www.shigaku.or.jp/ , or you have to have contacts.
What are your qualifications, by the way? First-timers rarely get high schools jobs unless they are with JET.
As for universities, FT jobs usually require a minimum of a master's degree in the specific field, unlike the vanilla bachelor's degree for practically every other type of work here, as well as publications, experience in Japan, and some fluency in Japanese. Then again, you could always get on with a dispatch agency (IF they sponsor visas) that farm eikaiwa teachers to universities, or you could consider Westgate Corporation and its 3-month contracts (but full-time visa sponsorship).
I'll repeat just because it's very important... what are your qualifications? |

Glenski, what about ohayosensei.com? (Is that the correct name/address?) Are they still around? I would have thought you'd mention them, since you're one of the main Japan pros.

Of course it's still around. I didn't mention it specifically by name. I unconsciously included it in my phrase "the usual online ads". |
