Many teaching establishments forbid smoking anywhere on the premises; others allow smoking in specified areas.
Many teachers and adult students smoke but others intensely dislike being in a smoky atmosphere.
What is the best solution? |

Smoking makes you look cool and should be mandatory in all areas. |

In my first job, in was perfectly acceptable for students to smoke in the classroom! But then you could also smoke on inter city buses. |

I personally believe smokers have an absolute right to smoke and give themselves a slow and painful death into the bargain .However, that right stops where my extremely senstive sense of the smell of tobacco smoke starts .So for those two previous smokers who relish in the thought of giving as much discomfort as they can for those of us who do not wish to copy that most disgusting and pointless habit I have only two words for you .GO OUTSİDE and stay there ! |

Who were you referring to Ollie?
I was once a champion heavy smoker, but gave up successfully last year. |

The big question DMB is WHY did you stop? Did you finally wake up to how antisocial it is ? Do you find yourself still in the company of smokers ? |

I don't think patches and gum works tried them its just plain ole will power now I find myself avoiding people who smoke as much as possible .We have designated areas where I work but people tend to ignore the signs and just light up whereever the urge takes them . The worst thing for me is when I went out go out for a drink and we were joined by a smoker someones friend in the group despite the fact that noone else had a fag in front of them said newcomer lights up doesn!t even think to ask just whips it out and away he goes when I challenged him he replies "I don't need your permission to smoke "".wrong answer isn't it esp when I'd had a bad day anybody care to guess what happened next ? |
