Am about to get my z visa, then travel to China in the next couple of weeks. Just one question: Can I enter China on a single ticket + z visa, or do I have to buy a return ticket and show it at immigration?

Advice appreciated.

For the umpteenth time (you can check relevant old threads!): the Chinese couldn't care less whether you have onward or outbound transportation arranged; it's usually some Western airline that wants to make bucks by selling two-way tickets.

With a Z visa, yes, you should have no problem showing a one-way ticket at the airport in your home country (where it really matters).

Thanks to the three of you for the advice. Don't worry about old steppenwolf, he'd obviously had a bad day!

In the end it was cheaper to get the return fare to Beijing. I will then get a domestic flight to Jinan. That way works out a lot cheaper than trying to get an international flight to Jinan, either single or return.
