| I did some part time work for Global IELTS in my old city. They paid slightly more than other places - 330 RMB for 2 and a half hours - and would probably pay more than that in Dalian. You'd be looking at 500 minimum for a similar class in Dalian I reckon. |

Be careful of some of these schools or IELTS establishments as they cannot legally employ you. Also Dalian is going through a transitional period where good teachers are hard to find and people are cutting back on pay... I would completely avoid WEBI as they are going down and have not paid several Foreign teahers. Global/Fed IELTS are trying to cheapen their operations and have even gone as low as trying to find teachers for 80 rmb an hour.. The problem is that some will do it and it makes te true professionalism of teaching a farce.
I have lived and taught in Dalian for 4 years now and teach for teh Korean governemnt as well as having my own private school. It all comes to down to what are you willing to do AND FOR HOW MUCH?

Dalian Global rates are 20RMB for 10 minutes contact time (no extra unless preauthorised by the manager) |
