What's the hourly rate for teacher training where you are? Celta etc. or independent/in house courses.
Thanks. |

Anywhere from 35 to 75 pesos onsite language school to 75-250 offsite company classes. Mexico City.
Of course, now I just realized you asked about teacher training.
I'm earning a salary...not an hourly rate. I'd cry to think of what I make per hour those months that I'm swamped. |

Not CELTA but, a publisher used to pay me 425 pesos an hour to give teacher workshops. The catch was there were like 3 workshops a month max, so it couldn't be your only job. |

It's something I really try to not think about, what my hourly wage works out to.
But since you asked I think it's about 80 pesos an hour, when I include all bonuses and aguinaldos, etc. I'm generously giving myself 13,000 a month as salary and dividing by 160 hours a month. I have to be on campus 8 hours a day, although only teach anywhere form 3 to 4 hours out of that.
I'd gladly work part time and make half of what I make if I could be on campus less time.
Oh and yes I also just remembered you're only asking about teacher trainers. Sorry to hijack the thread... |
