Hey all,

I'm sure some of you have read my Kidcastle experience story...

http://www.eslcafe.com/forums/job/viewtopic.php?t=42643

I've decided to go to the press about this. I recently spoke to another Canadian couple that I worked work with and found out they were fined over 7000RMB - held against their will at their apartment - and the girl was pushed infront of a bus by an FAD staff member (she's ok). They were trying to leave because they knew what happened to my girlfriend and myself and wanted out before it happened to them (and also due to continual poor/bad treatment)

I've sent the link, along with a brief explanation to AP and AFP so far.

Does anyone know of other agencies I should send this to and how to contact them?

and/or

Is there anyone else that has had a similar experience and wants to go to the press about it? This Kidcastle, inperticular, has seemingly lost their mind - and knowing that this kind of behavior continues to happen, I can't *not* do anything anymore. Maybe if the press gets involved the FEB and/or PSB might actually start to do something.

You can reply or email me at blakesibbitt @ hotmail . com

You need to make sure you post that article on a greylist/blacklist like TEFLWatch. I have had reporters contact me in the past and I am always happy sharing information and getting it out in the open.

Do let us know how many of them actually reply. It'd be interesting to see how far this goes.

I expect it will be about a month before I hear anything - given how many e-mails editors probably receive in a day....but I will keep you up to date.

I hope you get a reaction. In my opinion, your story is a lot worse than the one that appeared a couple of weeks ago about the teachers who had power outages and whatnot. It will be interesting to see if the media is actually interested in what happens to foreign teachers abroad.
