|

Dear all,
I am due to leave Buenos Aires in December and was hoping to help my private students find a replacement before I do so. By the time I leave I will have been teaching some of them for around 6 or 7 months and so obviously want to make sure they can continue learning with a reputable teacher.
While it may appear that I am placing this add rather early, I know these things can take time and the likelihood is that I will stop teaching late November to give myself time to enjoy my final days here. I also want to get a list of those interested (plus a CV if you have one) to contact people at a later date.
Here is some information that may be helpful.
1) As far as I am aware they all want to continue learning British English but could be open depending on the teacher
2) The rates charged differ from student-to-student and these will not be raised for any reason. However, rest assured that they are good wages.
3) No, I do not want a finder's fee.
4) The levels of English (whilst improving I hope!) differ, as do the types of lessons desired by the students. Therefore, while years of experience is not a prerequisite (I had no experience when I started) a high working knowledge of grammar is.
5) The classes are in the Belgrano/Palermo/Puerto areas (in my flat or theirs).
6) I would be best if only those who are here long term after December contact me. I say this as I want my students to find a teacher who can offer them continuity e.g. 4 months or so, maybe more. It may be good practice to tell an institute you are here for longer than is true but my students are not institutes so please bear this in mind!
I know this all may seem a little serious but I have developed good relations with my students, all of whom are friendly folk, willing to learn. I just want to help them out before I go!
ALSO. I have already posted this topic once but it disappeared without reason. If you replied, please do so again. Try a PM. Thanks

I will be coming Buenos Aires in December to obtain a teaching position. I have experience with ESL private tutoring as well as TESOL certification and a BA degree. I would love to take your students if the offer is still available. Please give me an email address so I can send you my resume and cover letter. My email is [email protected]. Thanks,
