LINGNAN COLLEGE IS OK,BUT THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE DEPARTMENT IS A DISASTER.NO-ONE TO HELP YOU ONLY TED,WHO IS SO BUSY SUCKING UP TO STEPHEN AND THE "PRESIDENT OF THE F/L DEPT,YOU GET NOTHING,JUST GET TOLD WHAT TO DO.
CONTRACT(I KNOW THIS "C" WORD HAS MOST OF YOU ROLLING AROUND THE FLOOR LAUGHING ) IS NEVER KEPT.THING LIKE BLOCKED TOILET ARE NOT IMPORTANT TO THEM (ONE F/T WAITED OVER A WEEK FOR REPAIR).COMPUTER CONNECTION (IN CONTRACT)IS AWOL MUCH OF THE TIME.I GOT OUT WHILE THE GOING WAS GOOD,BUT I HEAR THE ONE REMAINING MALE (SUCKER) IS NOW HOUSED WITH GIRL STUDENTS (LUCKY FOR SOME).

There are many posts about Lingnan Polytechnic, and the mismanagement of FT manager Ted Chen. You only really need to make one post to get your message across.

I think someone with experience with this school ought to write a brief, well-worded and even-handed complaint of this school, post it, and the mods should make it a sticky. Someone come on here and volunteer for the job, and maybe the mods will invite such a post.

Well Folks,
A little bit of good news about Lingnan that I've just heard.
No,The people responsible for the shambolic Foreign Language Dept at Lingnan are still there (Ted,the jumped up Boy who acts like a dictator.Stevie,who pretends to be ok about Foreign Teachers,but in reality has contempt for them,and last but not least,the "President "of F/L Dept,an Overseas Chinese,whose bad decisions are matched only by his arrogance).
BUT, The girl students have been moved out of the F/T Dorm. The two highly qualified foreign techers who were due to start at Lingnan on Oct 8 changed their minds about coming,when they heard about conditions there.
Ted tried so hard to get two more Foreign Teachers,But unfortunately Lingnan's reputation caused all contacted to refuse,so he employed another Filipino Lady,and he re-hired an elderly Male,whose contract he had refused to renew at the end of last term.
And I am told that the computers,as per contract,are actually working at the moment.
However,the General attitude from the "Terrible Trio"remains unchanged.
It is a pity,because by all accounts Lingnan College AS a Whole is ok,But the Foreign Language Dept IS a Hole.
