I'll start teaching a Uni IEP program in Europe next week at the local branch of an American University. This is new to me and (I fervently pray) is different from the dancing monkey show of private language schools in Asia. Any ideas on what to expect from students and how to do the best job (i.e. what people look for) in these programs? |

Should be a whole different ball game. But, also, you will be expected to be knowledgeable and skilled.
I spent five years in an EAP program in Saudi and overall it was a refreshing break from other countries where the students and admin don't really care. We were under constant pressure to keep grades down, to have very firm discipline - and to show progress. |

I'm just settling in-most students are in management/MBA-track programs so I find that my past life as a corporate paralegal helps a lot.
Details to come. But....there are books here. Be still my heart. |
