Hey everyone

I'm a complete newbie...so I have a dumb question... Can I apply to the NET program before I've completed my BA? I'll graduate in May, and would like to be in HK before the end of next year...I've heard about how slow the application process is...so I wondered if I could start now? without having competed my BA? Would it mean a lower salary assessment? Or is it even allowed? Also, I know there are differing opinions, but is the NET program the way to go? I welcome any and all opinions!

Look at the requirements on the EMB's homepage. You must have a degree.. min. They ask for all of your qualifications on the application.

Generally, you should have a B.Ed or PGCE (a British qual) or Adv. Diploma in Ed. (an Ausie Qual).

Also if you apply, you'll need to go to Toronto, Canada for the interview as the EMB scheme does not recruit in the USA. In fact almost all the NETs the I know here, whether secondary or primary are Ausie, Canadian or British.
