I've searched the master index, am still unable to find any listings about guest houses in Pattaya. I'd prefer to be close to Beach Rd. I plan on staying nearly a month, and would like to find a place that is reasonably priced. In other cities I've found as low as 400 baht. Is there anything in the same price?? Thanks for the help

I enjoy staying in guesthouses as opposed to staying in hotels and there are some good'uns in central Pattaya on Soi 12 off the second road just next to the Apex Hotel, it's got one of those Denmark burger stalls at the begining of the soi.

There are a few guesthouses on this quiet soi (no traffic) but my favourite is Sumaree House which is the last one on the soi and they tend to charge B500 but will give you B450 a night if your staying for a month. It's quite a find because some of the rooms are fairly spacious and have a dresser, wardrobe, small settee, coffee table, large fridge, AC, fan over the bed and cable TV.

It's a nice spot, a real homely stay where you get invited to join the staff at the end of their shift to enjoy some thai food and sangsom sitting on mats at the front the guesthouse.

I stayed at the loveliest guest house on Jomtien beach, in Soi 4, called Lotus. Its owned by a lovely coupole, its clean and has a great bathroom, cable tv. aircon and right near the beach. the number is 038 232671 or 232616.
Nice big beds and crispy clean white sheets and towels for 600 baht.

Hi,
Sorry for late reply.
Its really easy to find, just catch a baht bus or taxi to Jomtien beach, there are big round signs on each Soi with a number, go down Soi 4 and its on your left hand side. Its not a huge soi, so can't miss it.
Also walk over to Soi 5 (you can cut through a little gap in the buildings) and go to the Rose and Orchid for breakfast, lunch or dinner, the woman who owns it is Nong, she is lovely and a great cook. She lived in England for a long time, so is great with western food as well as Thai. Her homemade crumbed chicken breast is yummy.
