For the interview portion: do they ask any really obscure questions like "if you could have any superpower you want for 24 hours, would you pay $1000 to have sex with Ashton Kutcher if he had herpes" or something to that effect. or if it's just the standard "why do you want to work in Japan" and "what are your strengths and weaknesses" type interview questions.

as far as working there, is there any textbook-hawking or pressure to make money involved? if so, i might as well just stay at GEOS.

i've got the interview tuesday morning. what should i expect?

They basically just asked me a few things about teaching in Thailand and about my undergraduate studies, as well as my motivations for wanting to work in Japan.

They did ask my what I would like to improve on as a teacher. Aside from that, the questions were pretty standard.
