|
|
I posted this in the high school forum and got only 11 hits and no replies. Hoping for better results here, but not staying awake nights over it.
Does anyone have experience teaching in a SELHi in Japan? I would like to know how people have created their curricula, especially for teaching classes such as literature and science in an immersion setting. |

SELHi
is Super English Language High School
that's as much as I know. I'm involved with a project where ALT's from my area contribute to an internet based course for students...I think it's some kind of experiment to improve English education... |

Glenski,
The Daily Yomiuri has done a series of articles on SELHi, including one this week. Perhaps you could get access to them (at the library?). To be honest, I only scanned the article, so I don't know how in-depth it (or the series) is regarding curriculum, but it's a place to start. |

Way ahead of you, homer. Done that. They provide only scanty info at best on a limited number of schools designated as SELHi's. Thanks anyway.
And, in case anyone is thinking I should contact those schools' web sites, I have tried, and 90% of them are in Japanese. Ironic, isn't it, to list info about a Super ENGLISH Language program in a language other than English?! |
