This is the most useful site I've found for kanji for electrical appliances and train tickets. etc. If you haven't seen it yet, it might save you pulling out a few hairs.

The design is a bit awkward but you can hit the enter button to go to the kanji pages and there are pictures of the buttons on appliances that you can click on to get a bigger view and translations. There's also a VERY useful feature; when you click on the "words list for x" you get a printable table with all the words and translations. I've printed one out and put it around my house next to all the relevant appliances. A big help!!!!!

That's pretty handy, I wish I had this when I was learning these kanji - woulda saved me quite a bit of time I reckon. Very Happy

That is a pretty cool site, certainly very handy for new people to Japan. Better than trial by error, but perhaps not as fun (all those toilet functions).

Does anyone else know any other good websites that make living in Japan easier (language, traveling, shopping, etc)?
