|

I'm a 24 y.o. gay guy who currently lives in San Francisco but is planning to move to Buenos Aires in March (will probably take the TEFL certification offered by EBC), and I'm interested in learning more about gay life there from anyone, but especially any gay teachers, who frequent this forum.
I'd be particularly interested to hear about how it's been to meet other gay people/gay community, how manageable dating has been, how "open" you feel non-gay society is (i.e. how "out" can one be?), and anything else along these lines you'd care to share.
From what I've read, BsAs has a number of gay bars, though no "gay neighborhood." Is there any particular part of town that is located close to gay bars or other gay spaces that I might want to consider living in?
Any insight that anyone can provide would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Gay marriage obviously is a major factor for some people in BA, but there are many reasons to come to BA, and fun is one of them.
Still being abroad, I would suggest some web sites like:
http://www.thegayguide.com.ar/ or
Sociedad de integracin gay lsbica Argentina (Castellano)
They are pretty good and nice place to start. There are also many brochures and folletos for gay life around town. heck just go to the Megatlon gyms, there are plenty of gay and lesbian people working out there and gay literature at the front desks.
Hope this helps!
PM me if you need more advice, here to help. |
