Hey there, does anybody know what medicines you cannot bring into Peru? I want to get a little essentials kit together, but i don't want to be busted at customs with contraband codeine or something. i don't fancy jail time in Peru.

HOnestly, you could probably buy everything you need here in Peru and it would be cheaper.

Am I allowed to post here in Peru?? Laughing

What I have done in the past is just get a prescription-like note from a doctor (The Travel Doctor in Adelaide St in Brisbane does this, if you're close by Luna) for any drugs and natural remedies I might bring.

I know we talked about bringing in medicine but what about vitamins? I'm only asking because a few months ago I bought a big bottle of vitamins and it came with a free bottle the same size and it could last me for 2 years. It's Vitamin B6. Do you think its fine to pack it in my suitcase?

As the manager of a pharmacy I am not aware of B6 being able to be broken down into any kind of drug. I reckon you are pretty safe with that one. I was more worried about pseudoephedrine, which is in most cold and fly preps and can be broken down to make Ice or Speed and codeine, which I know you can't take into Greece.

Also contraceptives. I know some countries are funny about you bringing them in.
