Last time I checked Jim, and you too Ali, it was a free world. And as long as people are so quick to judge, condemn, patronize, take the piss and generally be arrogant, I will continue to post whatever I feel like.
So, raise your glasses to that. |
That was a very caustic response, Sweetsee... I don't believe I deserved that. I've never treated you anything but respectfully on this forum, even when others have chosen to heap insults on you -- and you know that. If not, perhaps you need to go back and re-read some old threads.
What I WAS pointing out, however, is that any time alcohol gets mentioned, you have but one reply -- a link to AA Tokyo with no other reasons, explanations, nothing. Just a bloody link. It comes across as rather didactic. If you're going to get your tail all bent out of shape every time this subject comes up, perhaps you might indulge the people who read the thread and explain WHY you insist on continually bringing up that bloody link.
But even now you choose rather to respond with such a retort as: 'I'll do as I please because I'm free to do so' instead of providing justification of any sort as to why this may be so important to you (other than leading people to believe that you're trying to either a) be a jackass because you feel that others have mistreated you, or b) cram your values and judgments down their necks). Either way, I still don't understand why you keep pushing your silly AA Tokyo link every time the topic of alcohol comes up.
Do you really believe that everyone around you has a drinking problem? Is that why you do it? |

Ali: what's the harm? There is a chance that someone may find it useful, you know? If one person finds that useful than I accomplished something. Conversely, if no one ever does than the only thing that I have done is rile those with nothing better to do than spread hate.
And what does the good Lord have to do with anything?
JD: I am sorry if I offended you and you are absolutely right, you have been more than kind, appreciate that. Please forgive.
Enjoy,

Then why don't you walk into pubs with the link on a sandwich board? Stop being so sanctimonious.

Have to wonder if Ali and his side-kick are not one in the same, wouldn't surprise me at all. How else to explain their penchant for pasting? Except of course the obvious; nothing better to do and no one to do it with. Maybe you would like to come over to my blog and harass there, you know, give everyone a break here.
Again, I apologize to the OP. Yet, had no one mentioned my post there would have been no need to do so. Afterall, this thread is about drinking, isn't it, underage drinking at that, not? But as is usually the case here, some posters feel compelled to attack everything I say and detract from the topic at hand. Just look at how Glenski managed to start that whole debacle that canuck boasts on his signature. I would say that anything that those folks have to say is immaterial in light of such behavior.
I would also say that if anyone is interested in a friendly game of tennis, let's do it. Your court or mine?
Enjoy,
