So there's an ad for a computer program that finds you schools to teach at... anyone used it yet?

I'm trying to get an idea of if it's worth $25. It sounds like it is probably better than TeacherMexConnect and has a broader base, but I thought I'd throw one out there for the Dave's people.

If you are looking for schools in either China or Taiwan then you may want to give the site that I am involved with a look. Check out www.buxiban.com and if you have any questions let us know at that site.

Buxiban is a site that carries many posts of schools, although many of those posts are rather outdated. In my opinion, the sites with job adverts that seek ESLers momentarily or shall I say at the given time are much more effective. Then, it's rather tough to discuss the advertised schools on buxiban since it ... may not even have any forums. Does it?
All due respect to people "involved in buxiban", but if they come here on daves forums discussions that they may not have on buxiban, all they do is trying to defend some schools/centers/recruiters that've been discussed here and they do it rather unreasonably too. How could the job seekers believe such individuals Confused

Peace to buxiban
and
cheers and beers to all job seekers and hard working FTs around the world Very Happy

In case anyone has missed it Englishgibson is referring to my involvement with the buxiban site.

That is just not true as the site is updated daily and the fact that you say this suggests to me that you are not even a member so raises the question as to how you could possibly know. Are you a full member of that site and have access to the information?

If one is looking for a job then I wouldn't disagree with you that there are plenty of sites out there that do a much better job of this than our site, but then jobs is not really the aim of our site, they are merely a natural sideline. It is for this reason that we carry banners to such job sites as Eslcafe, eslteachersboard, marksesl, and Tesall. They are all excellent job sites.

If one is looking for information about schools or recruiters then I welcome you to suggest a site with more information specific to China and Taiwan than buxiban.com.

We don't have our own forums as in our opinion the last thing in the world that the internet needs at this point in time is another ESL forum. There are already plenty out there and our site links to these. This is all clearly stated on our site so perhaps you might want to have a look around there if you are going to comment about it.

As opposed to disgruntled individuals who were fired from their jobs and come here to go on endlessly about how bad the whole chain is based upon their own experience at two schools within a chain of 30 or so schools Rolling Eyes

I believe that the majority of users here are intelligent enough to work out for themselves whether someone has a vested interests in what they post on this forum.
