I'm thinking of moving to Japan and was wondering if there were many English-speaking churches in Japan. |

You should do some internet searches, they usually pop up if you're lucky. But of course, you should do it using a Japanese search engine. If you can't read Japanese, have someone do it for you.
and yea...they're mostly in the large cities. I'm in the countryside but was lucky to find a church near me, but its about a 20 minute bus ride. Good luck. |

Like Gordon said -- PM me for more info... There ARE some, but you have to do a bit of research. If you can provide me with a location, I can probably give you some contact names/numbers from a Japanese church directory I have access to.
BTW, I don't suppose anyone here made it to the Hillsong United concert in Tokyo last weekend? (It ROCKED!) |

A couple people at my church went, but I didn't go. I'm glad you had fun!
Jim, where abouts is your church, BTW? |

As it is the holiday season, my local-life newsletter included a list of local churches that have services in different languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, & Tagalog). Most of the churches listed only have a foreign language service once a month, but I would assume that is better than nothing.
So, I guess the point is....there are services, in more languages than I would have thought, you just have to find them. The local international center is a good place to start. |
