I teach 15, 3 a day, M-F. I would gladdy turn that around and teach 5 a day for 3 days a week! Let's say, T, W, TH, or even F, Sat, Sun. Laughing
15 if perfect. 20 is okay if they are not all different levels, or kids, which takes so much more energy.

15 would be lovely.
Right now I do 22 which wouldn't be too bad either if it wasn't that I have to teach 5 different grades.

At my current job, my perfect work week would be 20 hours a week, Monday through Friday, between 4 pm and 9 pm. In real life, my monthly workload at this job has varied from 15 to 38 hours per week, which includes a split morning/evening schedule and a 5 hour class on Saturdays.

Right now, I'm not teaching. I'd like to teach about 20-25 per week.

I was, at one point, teaching 9-10 hours per day....barely had time to look at my lesson plans. I had to cut back, needless to say. I sustained that pace for a few months though. You learn not to sweat the small stuff. Four hours in the morning, off to a one hour secondary school, then a private class for 1 hour, break, back to 4 evening hours. good times. Smile Razz. Whew, did I really do that? I'm impressed.

I've done 12 hour days, and am in no hurry to ever do it again...

Right now I teach 17 hours a week, which is nice. I also have all the Colombian national holidays (of which there are many) and all high school holidays off, but paid for.

This is the best I've ever had it. To be honest, though, if I were teaching any less, I would be bored. I never thought I'd say it, but it is perfect like this!

Smile

I'v done between 0-50 a week. Without a doubt the worst was 0 hours a week. It was because I was stuck behind a desk listening to students complain about teachers and teachers complain about students.

Working with students and teachers should be kept apart at all times. Work with one group or the other but never at the same time Wink

If I had one of those H/E 12 hour a week F/T joibs that pay soooo well...
I an sure I would be looking for another one to do in my spare time.

So..... 24 sounds like a good number to start with and then maybe I could teach a few privates on the side for pin money so about 30

No marking and no prep!!!
No parent's evenings
No homework!

About 30

After teaching 27 hours a week and a couple of meetings I feel like banging on the bongoes like a chimpanzee. So, twenty sounds about right.
Enjoy,
