Nobody comes to France - how could I meet anyone?
KeNt took my place in Russia and we passed in the street (shame about that accent - I just couldn't face it .)
Naturegirl is off to Romania - too late.
All the Asian contributors (or the contributors from Asia) - there's NO chance that we'll meet until you come to your senses and move back to a civilised country

I'll be there. Incidentally, am I the only person currently in the host country? I mean, do I have to scope out the venue and write out little name tags with our nicknames on so we feel comfortable talking to each other?
You know, rather than a get-together, we should call it a conference. That way we get free sandwiches.
Rogan - Book Eurotunnel Paris to London about 6 weeks in advance and it's only 29* each way. That's my winter holiday sorted out! Oh, except for hotels. And actually booking the ticket.
*about 45 euros? |

OK Caper
but if you don't have blonde hair and sparkly trousers then I'm leaving! I'll get out my He-man costume... |
I do have blonde hair. The sparkly trousers I can't promise. Is that a deal breaker for you?

Ugh...name tags. I am going to a TESL conference next month and will have to wear one of those beeping name tags. Sorry, but I'm not wearing one to a meeting at a pub. By the way, leeroy is also from the "host country" and I think he is at least somewhat tempted to join us. Then there's dyak, Will, Sue, et al. We could have a decent get-together if people decide to show up.
Ummm...R, could you email me directions to this place sometime before February? |

Aww . . . dang this sounds like so much fun. But as Rogan pointed out us "Asians" won't be able to go. There are tons of us; we should try to arrange a meeting in some central location somewhere. |

Thanks, nomadder! Sparkly conversation should make up for the pants, eh?

Scot47 will leave his AK47 at home if he can practice being touchy-feely.

Really R - your excessive verbosity is starting to become just a bit annoying.

OK, Scot47 is planning either to shoot us or to molest us. Either way, dress in layers, people. |

I'm bringing three decoy Rs. The hope is that he will start off by shooting or molesting one of the wrong ones, giving me time to either stop him or simply escape.
If he comes after the real me first, well, the decoys have their orders... |

Of Kevlar, I guess. I asked my tailor to whip up a suit for me. When I mentioned "scot47," he smiled and nodded. |
