I was taking man-to-man lessons from a private teacher I found in the local paper, but she's moving to the US in a month or so. Now I'm looking for another teacher or perhaps school to go to. I don't want to spend more than 2000 per hr/lesson b/c that's about what I was paying before--and the lessons were quality. What experiences have you all had? Is a school better or a private teacher? Any info? Thanks!

a school would be better but the question is this:
do you have the time to go to a school? Many of them are in Tokyo, and not in Kanagawa.

I can be so busy at work that I can`t regularly go to a school to learn.
So, that is why I prefer one to one teaching, because it is flexible.

Yeah I don't have time to travel to Tokyo for class but someplace in Yokohama isn't bad. I think I prefer man-to-man teaching. I got my last teacher out of the local paper but there haven't been any other posting for teachers in there. Are there websites people can find Japanese teachers on? Or soemthing of the such? I did a google but found nothing.

my teacher lives near Minami-Machida on the Denentoshi line.
Costs just 2,000 yen for 90 minutes.

Any recommendations for intensive courses in Tokyo?
Thanks in advance.
