It skirted around HCMC but gave Vung Tau & Ben Tre a right pounding. Think the roads are clear now. My sister-in-law in Ben Tre lost her house & factory, & I've heard plenty of similar stories from work colleagues with family/friends in the south Sad

I was in Vung Tau today and it was pounded. Any buildings near the beach were crushed by the storm surge. 90% of the trees had fallen throughout and all the trees on the hills were defoliated. The roads were all open though, just kind of a mess. It was really nice with not a tourist in site and a sunny day though

I'm in Vung Tau at the moment. The cleanup has begun, but there is a lot of damage. It must have been amazingly strong. There are cement power poles knocked over and a lot of damage.
