There are only eight spots, so I don't kow if I will get in. Last year, four people stayed on, so there were only four spots. My interview is sometime early next year. Wish me luck!

I just saw on BBC News a report about the street children of Bucharest.
Alarming stuff, but I started wondering to what extent people outside Romania have their views of that country distorted by this sort of negative coverage.
Lots of people in Romania are living normal lives, struggling of course in the harsh economic environment. If we were to form our picture of Roamania from what we saw on TV we would have artraher distorted picture !
Don't get me wrong - I am NOT saying there should be no coverage of this sort of story, but we do need some sort of balance. |

I agree. When most people think of Romania, they think of the street kids and the orphanages, when there is really so much more. |
