Having followed the debate about the recent events at Jubail Industrial College I can make the following points.
1.New teachers are treated shockingly.
2.Accommodation is sordid and noisy.
3.The classrooms are overcrowded
4.The material is very difficult to teach.
5.There is an elite of teachers who have been there for years and act as
the Managing Director's eyes and ears.
6.The salaries about 11,000 SR are low- certainly lower than advertised.
7.I don't know if the pollution is harmless.I do know that it smells acrid.
8.The management are uncaring and remote-to put it politely.
9.The recruitment person is not especially efficient.
10.The sister institute, the JTI is a lot worse.

If you want to work in Jubail try SWCC or the European Centre. If there are no vacancies there, there are plenty of other jobs in this Kingdom.
Why not try YIC Dammam Community College.A lot of ex JIC people are
there and they say it is truly superior.
Don't endure a life of misery at Jubail Industrial College. This life is too short.Good Luck.

Much of what is written here is either exaggerated or false.

And I would still recommend JIC over the European Centre and probably over SWCC as well.

No way wold I accuse Mr Jones of Brown Nosing.Zardas and those guys got him canned in the first place.
Zardas must really need his annual increment this year.He is writing enough fiction here to earn a publishers bonus.

The Brown Nose Chronicles

Mr Jones was a decent guy.The new recruiter is different.

Well, Steve Jones is surely entitled to his opinion which I am sure is given in all good faith. However,he has not been here this year.It is quite some time since he was a new teacher and he lived downtown not on campus.
The atmosphere at Jic is oppressive in every sense now.I still contend that job seekers would be better advised to look at different places.

This is getting really tedious. Can we amalgamate all the JIC threads? Like the DIFA saga. At least that sorry tale only occupies a small slice of cyberspace.

To the perpetrators: one thread, one handle please. And be discreet. Stop being discrete. Or is it the other way round?

In a previous post you mentioned the current management had justified his demise as a means of showing an ''example''.What does this have to do with decisions made by the''outgoing ELC director''.
Are you really justified in calling the previous management ''spiteful'' in a public forum without presentation of the relevant facts?
Without resort to vulgarisms this indicates grovelling servility to whoever is in the manager's office at any given time.
If the present manager left this week would you castigate him the week after next.I fear so.
Where is the constancy of truth?

hear hear...

Other than the whingers on both sides of this issue, everyone else is likely as sick of it as we are... including the MODs who continue to lock and delete and they continue to start new threads to continue whinging...

About the only one that sounds sensible is SJ, who is one of the 'purged,' but has managed to move on with some semblance of dignity... which is sorely lacking among most of the others. I haven't figured out if the rest are just two people repeatedly positng on both sides of it all...

What a waste of Dave's bandwidth...
