I think the books are the least of the problem in this "institution". I've attended several "meetings" and "professional development days" to know this. Working for said firm is pretty much the same as working in fast food (I've done that too).Fast food has more respect for employees, raises from time to time, and standards (albeit low). The behavior of management (or lack thereof) is notorious. I remember when 3 teachers were almost killed in the ET "deathmobile" last winter. Said individuals told management that they didn't feel safe with the weather conditions being the way they were and the van being in the state it was (and probably still is).Management's response was "If you don't go, you're fired". The van slid on ice and across the medium and into a ditch.
Typical. I just wonder what would have happened if they had died. Would ET send them home in a yellow big-ben shaped coffin with "do you speak english" written across it? With management like that, the books are the least of their worries. Still, since it is funded with "Green Money" I still wonder the suitability of reading passages about pervs and murderers. |

| No, it is not the teachers who bare the brunt thank you very much, and l should goddamn know as l am a head teacher at ET. As you don't work at my branch, please do not tell me what it is like. Yes, the books are causing problems, but I think they will do less so when teachers and students have gone through one level and then go onto the next. |
You have seen these books? Do they reaslly have a character called "Roger the Rapist"? |

The Person Whose Name We Cannot Mention does throw good parties though.
I can say no more as I've never taught there either. Baba, shall we commiserate? |

Yeah, go on then. I'll see down the park with a bottle of vodka at 9. |
