What are you doing?
Almost everyone I know is heading for warmer climes. But I am not.
I do not want to go anywhere near taxim. I do not not want to go to fancy hotels cos they charge way over the odds for a crappier than normal service.
I know it's new year and you should do something different. Something different would mean staying at home
Anyone having a house party or got an original idea that doesn't involve going to Taksim? |

Mmm, Sac Kavurma - with lashings and lashings of Cappadocian wine. I recommend the SOS restaurant, if it still exists. |

There's always watching paint dry ... it's quite the favourite here ... all year round ... we're lucky in the sense that every night is New Year's Eve ... |

Turkey could use a few more festive holidays... or atleast 1. This place really does not have any festive times. That is something they could copy from the West. |

Head a little west Sheikh. You too could enjoy the "excellent benefits and leisure opportunities" provided for you by Britain's number one defence company. Every night is a Saturday night, free TV to enjoy along with unlimited quantities of homebrew. Free toilet paper is provided to mop up the unfortunate side effects of this popular brew but with a red face and savage temperament along with obesity you won't notice as you slide into misery. |

Sounds great ...
I think you have one or two of ours with you these days ... one of the older ones was quite a character while with us ... he had on his desk a porcelein plaque of an enthusiastic young girl saying "Together we can do it" ... but her 'up yours' fist suggested a different message entirely ... |
