I've been to a few Asian countries and taught, and I would like a new experience I just don't know where to go anymore at this point.

Korea- Boring
Japan - Too expensive
Thailand - No money
Cambodia - No money and no jobs
China - No airfare yet and low currency

I think all that's left is Tawain, if someone can shed more light on this place I would love to hear some thoughts. I have a feeling it's not much different.

In Canada you can get a B.Ed. in just one year of study and practicums at one of the Ontario Universities which offer a teacher education program.

This is what ghost did in 2001-2002, when it decided to go back to school to get a B.Ed. because it felt limited with the 1.5 year T.E.S.L. Certificate from McGill University.

Since getting the B.Ed. more educational doors have definetely been opened.

Hi old friend,

I don't want to make a career out of teaching Esl. Going to get a B.ED would waste a year of my life. I find I can sell myself enough with a Bachelor and a Tesl. Besides I taught in four Countries and I have some great references. The Bachelor is the key. I just don't know if I can stand another year in Korea.

Teaching Esl for me is all about reality. Helps me keep in touch with myself and what I have learnt in my past and allows me to share it with others. That's the beauty. I can't just keep myself fullfilled from 9 to 5. I need a social life and most Esl jobs with both and good pay are few and far between. There's only a handful of places that will give you all three.

What most people want from teaching at least when their younger is the fine perks that life offers without paying for it.

Money
Warm weather
Nice beaches
Party Town
Nightlife

I can deal with the money part, social life, and good school.

Learn more about international schools. You would not necessarily be teaching your so-called Esl.

I already taught in an International school, and that was without a B.ED. Maybe I don't want to teach in an International school..Henry!
