|
|
Hi, I am considering moving to Taiwan sometime in the next year. I have already lived in a few places in Korea as well as Shanghai China. Amazingly, for bicycle group riding, there was a much bigger scene in Shanghai, despite it larger size and greater population density. I think this has something to do with the social habits of Koreans vs Chinese, but thats another story....
Are there any cycling enthusiasts out there? Does anyone know about races and/or group rides in Taiwan? BTW specifically, I am considering Kaohsiung...
Any info would be appreciated. |

I suggest that you post your query on Forumosa.com; you will find that there is a forum dedicated to sports/recreation...

There are lots of cycling groups and races in Taiwan; don't worry.
There's a great bike shop on Sewei rd in Kaohsiung called John's Bikes that go out for 100+ km rides every Saturday morning.
Also check out:

The only problem with Kaohsiung is how long it takes to get out of the ring of smog that surrounds the city. I live in Taipei now and find it much easier to get to good riding here; the downside being, it rains a lot more in Taipei.
If you have any other questions pm me. |
