|
|
Should I be concerned that when I applied for my 60 day visitor visa at the TECO the officer asked for a "detailed itinerary" of my travel plans within Taiwan (in letter format)? I had thought that my plane ticket "itinerary" would be enough.
The woman handling my application explained that they just needed to know why I was planning to spend that much time in Taiwan. Overall she was very courteous and chatted with me about my college major and current job.
Is the detailed itinerary-letter SOP or a red flag?
(I've already faxed the letter over, explaining that I'll be visiting friends and provinding a rough outline of my "travel plans" within Taiwan.) |

I just printed out the web page of the flight I was going to take and sent that. It took 1 day to process the visa. |

I wasn't asked for a detailed itinerary, either. but I don't think you have too much to worry about. |

I was asked the same thing when I was renewing a Visa in Bangkok. I told them I had friends who were having a baby (true) and wanted to visit. Plus I might want to try taking a cruise from Keelung to Japan. They had me write it down and sign it. Everything was fine but I never took the cruise. |
