I have taught in Thailand for a little over a year and now am considering to teach in Laos. I am wondering what kind of salary I can expect to earn in Laos as a teacher with over 3 years experience? (I would appreciate a salary range). Thanks.

In an ordinary language school in Vientiane (the capital) around $350-$500 U.S. per month, with help with accommodation (either free or subsidized). If you are a certified teacher, you might be lucky to work at an International school in either Vientiane or Luang Prabang, and get a salary in the range $800-$1200 per month, with free or subsidized accommodation.

Laos is more relaxed and less developed than Thailand, but if you stay in Vientiane, Thailand is just 30 mins away by bus....on the other side of the river...Udon Thani (Thailand).
