	  | Also, are young Mexican girls in Mexico often looking to marry foreigners in order for the papers? |

Wow... that's pretty crazy.

I've only dated 2 so far but neither of them have been looking for papers! (Of course I'm Canadian and not American.)

Young Mexican girls like to date foreign guys because light skin is considered sexy over here. As hard as it is to believe, most of them do *not* want to move to the U.S.

I'm also a Toronto Maple Leaf fan (who are still better than Montreal! ) |

Go Leafs Go! We are better than Montreal though? That's like saying an elephant is bigger than a mouse! That loss to Boston the other day really hurt though. We *need* to win today against the Islanders.

If you want to watch hockey down here this is a great website:

http://www.myp2p.eu/NHL.htm

It doesn't have all the games, but if you get a bit lucky you can watch some. http://www.640toronto.com of course has all the games on the radio. |

eclectic... are you LOOKING for a young Mexican who wants to go to the US or are you concerned that's all a girl would want from you?

Just curious. |

For whatever reason, I think age discrimination here, at least in the corporate world, mostly applies to women. At the companies where I teach, there are a few guys over the age of 40, but almost no women of that age.

There's definitely a stereotype of ESL teachers being 20-something backpacker types and perhaps the majority of them are. But students here are smart enough to know that teachers with more maturity offer different kinds of advantages: more serious, maybe. More experienced and knowledgeable.

There are two teachers at my school who are over 40 and both of them are very, very popular with business students. |
