I think the boss is called Jason, used to work as a hairdresser in Brighton. Ever such a nice boy but a trifle moody at times. |

All I know that BENDA is street-slang for a homosexual in britian. I work with a british man so I hear all this weird lingo spill from his mouth all the time.
Plonker - Idiot
Licking It - Driving fast
etc, etc, etc,
Sorry I can't be of anymore help. |

Well the name on the contract in Edward but who knows?
The British slang is kind of curious....especially since it is a british academy of english and dance.....
Perhaps I will ask the school for some of the names of former teachers and try to get some inside info...
Is this appropiate? Sorry I am a newbie to EFL world.
thanks! |

Yeah i'm sure that just a coincedence. Its spelled Bender (like gender bender) but British people pronouce the 'er' like "ah" so Bender becomes Benda.
by the way, this is not meant to knock or be prejudice to Homosexuals, i'm just stating the types of slang found in Britain. |

Some British people pronounce the 'er' like 'er'. There's just as many regional accents and dialects in Britain as there are in Japan. |
