Does anyone know about the Pasmo cards, which will replace passnet? Where I live, in Chiba Prefecture, passnet cards have been good for use on the Tokyo Metro system, as well as all of the outlaying areas and lines, excluding JR.
Can anybody tell me if/how they will be different, and if they will be good for JR lines?
I believe the new cards are set to go into effect on March 16th, and some vendors have already discontinued the sale of passnet.

There seems to be no info in English.
Thanks in advance.

QUESTION ANSWERED!!
(thanks to the link provided by craven in another thread!)
I was wrong about the date (March 18th).
It appears the cards are good for Tokyo Metro, other lines, AND JR, which is good for those of us who have to transfer from the Keisei or Tozai, to the JR Sobu or Yamanote.
