| Not that I am looking for work now and definitely am not because I am interested in using a recruiter to help me find a potential new position for next term, but I know that at least two of my colleagues were hired by John Haag and seeing that there nothing him being discussed here, I am wondering if anyone has had any dealings with him or at least has heard of him. The impression I got from one of my colleagues is that he is not a very honest guy -- my colleague was told that the school was ten minutes away from downtown on foot while in fact it's more like at least 10 minutes away by taxi. |

I think the person you referred to is actually John Haigh, a recruiter working out of Beijing (?.) He does recruit staff for some locations in Jilin.
I would say your colleagues impression is probably correct although I have no personal experience, just hearsay. |

if this is what it takes to be deemed dishonest, havent we raised our standards a bit too high? something like this could have been a simple miscommunication (one or two words, happens all the time).
at any rate, depending on where you are, 10 minutes on foot and 10 minutes by taxi arent a whole lot different (try bangkok for example, you'll get 50 times further on your feet during much of the day). |
