Firstly, apologies for another Westgate-related thread.
I've been lurking on this forum for a while, and realise that there have been a lot of these kinds of threads around, little has been said about the YL programme. I was wondering if anyone had participated in this in the past, and could tell me something about it.
Or, if someone knows of any other, similar programmes, I would be very grateful. I'm willing to work with adults or children, but want to be a teacher back home (the UK) and would prefer to work with children, but either way, it would be a good experience. Unfortunately, I only really have 3 months free, and don't know of any others that offer this kind of time scale.
If someone has participated, and could tell me how much freedom they had with teaching, of flexibility to put their own stamp on it, that would be great. As well as experiencing a new culture etc. I'm really interested in teaching EAL, as it could be useful for schools at home.
Thanks,
