Are you saying you are teaching 40 hours a week?
I very much doubt that marking exams has taken anybody over the 160 hours a month. |

Very easy to do on major exams such as mid-terms and finals.
Regular time is 25 in class hours & 15 preparation hours(including test drafts, staff meetings, extra tutoring for students, paperwork for attendance, student performance evaluations, and teaching material gathering).
All major tests have a 24 hour turn-around deadline. So you spend the day giving the tests(we have to be present to monitor all exams, not just our own subject) and then you immediately grade, review, and officially record the results. Usually all on your weekend.
Drafting, writing, editing, and final review meetings for routine tests all involve extra time.
Actually it is very easy to exceed the 160 hour time block. Especially when you have to escort a field trip. |

So has brasscat been fired or not ? Word now is that 4 of the female teachers have also been asked to leave.
Looks like they have learned about purges from Jubail.
Or is this all unfounded rumour ? |

| Rumours of brasscat's demise have been greatly exaggerated it seems. |

| Talked to Liz and Zuzu this morning about the Girls University at UOH (they are teachers there). When you have class sizes running between 40 to 45 the discpline and stress issues are off the scale. Burnout with the teachers is high. |
