Again as before you'd be better off asking this question in the specific Spain forum.

Aranda de Duero is quite a small and unhappening place and it's worth bearing in mind that they seem to have an almost eternal advertisement on tefl.com which would personally make me shy away from them. At the very least I'd do a bit more research on it before making any commitments.

Bobby,

I actually don't think that your age is the factor here. The reason that you have probably received no replies is that it just isn't common and isn't the way that Spain and Italy work. Schools there are notorious for not replying to CVs sent on spec from abroad. It's not rudeness on their part just a reflection of the fact that these are desirable locations for work and with many teachers already there on the ground it's just not worth their while giving a job offer to someone abroad who may/may not turn up. The school I worked in, in Valencia on the East coast, had a pile of over 30 CVs that had been handed in by people in person, so why should they consider those thousands of miles away?

To be honest with your experience I'd spend a week in a place that you fancy and hit the pavements with CV in hand and I've little doubt that you'd find a decent position.

I'm also considering Barcelona for the coming academic year and it's worthwhile checking out ad sites like www.loquo.com

I think it is age plus the fact you are not there. Schools have a glut of native speakers, so they can ignore those over 45.

I worked for Linguarama in Germany once. Gotta say, with all the different schools I have worked for in the last 10 years, including one that is considered to be the bees knees all over the world, Linguarama scored pretty highly on all counts.
