A lot of things that I can't get in Japan -- which come either as a result of obtaining DVDs/VHS tapes from home or via download (or streaming content) from the net.

Aside from movies, I'm a big fan of Simpsons (as you can see by my other thread)..., M*A*S*H*, House, CFL or NFL football, sumo, Rome... I also love my Discovery Channel... Mythbusters (to name one). Then on a lesser level I occasionally watch LOST, CSI, Survivor, American Idol (my wife loves those shows so I watch with her from time to time).

Nice. Thank you for that. You really enjoy TV!
If I could, I would like to be watching old TV programs. I liked Get Smart, The Honeymooners, Star Trek, The Beverly Hillbillies, etc.
Hardly find the time these days and when I do I am usually conked out within minutes. I like the National Geographic channel.
Anyway, what marvelous things are you up to this weekend?
And also, does anyone know anyone who does not have a cell phone?
Thanks Jim.
Enjoy,
s

Well, I am happy to hear that. May I ask if you will be observing no-TV week?

I'm not a television watcher myself... I haven't had a tv since I lived at home with the folks so I'm a bit out of tune with pop tv culture. But... when a friend sent these links I had to check out the oldies for nostalgic purposes as well as try out some of the ones I'd never heard of. Maybe these links will be of use to those of you without tv or a dish? Or maybe this is old news. I'm a little out of the loop! There are anime, tv, cartoons and movie links.
