Last year there was one man in his 50's that worked there. You might just have to wait a while. They may still be trying to figure out what they need. Anyways good luck.

In reply to being deported and whether or not you have to return to your home country..

I was deported from Japan last week. I was actually planning to go to Thailand and I had a ticket and everything. I requested to go to Thailand but they said I must touch American ground first. That may just be Japan's rules though. They are very strict.ently I doubt that being deported means returning to your home country.[]

You got misled here.

No country has the right to dictate where you go after you are deported.

If you were extradited then that would be a different situation, but assuming that you were not being charged by the US for a crime then there is no reason that you should have to touch US soil prior to another country.

I got a visa sponsored by a company to teach English. I had a visa good for a year and I was working at a bar, modeling and freelance teaching. IMmigration came to my bar and said my visa is only good for my company. They said I cant work at a bar, model, or freelance. I had no idea. As a result I was deported.

I think I got discriminated against also from these guys. Last year when I applied they gave me a contract but said they never got a confirmation even though I sent out a fax to them. This year I sent my resume and pict and they said I didn't meet their requirements. I think it's just unfair that they wouldn't want ABC's working for them.

Yes, it is asia. Racism is rampant!!! I think that when I taught for two weeks at ALV that there was only one non-white teacher. I don't think they hired ABCs or Korean-Americans.
