On a recent trip in Saigon I had the unfortunate experience of getting mugged!

To my surprise I received an email from a hotel and they have my wallet! Ironically enough the wallet still contains money and all of my cards (I am of course taking the word of the hotel). Unfortunately, I am now back in the U.S.

The hotel due to regulations and a fraudulent mail system is unable to ship my wallet and money. Therefore, my only hope of being reunited with my lost possessions is to have a person pick them up.

Now that I am in the U.S., I know absolutely no one in Vietnam or traveling to S.E. Asia. Additionally, I have contacted the American Consulate and Embassy asking for advice... yet receiving the same response; get a trustworthy person to pick up your wallet. Furthermore, I tried asking random people from the Internet traveling to Vietnam and the study abroad office at my Uni to help... but received no responses.

I figured I would ask for advice from people living in Vietnam... maybe you have a solution.

Thanks

If you are serious, PM me.

I am visiting the U.S. to visit family in July, about 10 weeks from now.

I can mail it to you.

1. provide the amount of cash, and any other items in it.

2. Verify this with the hotel

I'll mail it to you from the West Coast.

I'm not doing this because I'm nice. Only because I want to put out some good Karma soon.

I would like to hear more about getting mugged. I haven't heard of this happening to often in Vietnam and would like to know the details so people can be aware of the situation.
