Just curious - I need to make a decision pretty soon about my departure for Japan. My job at this point in LA is ending on May 30th, and i'm going to be travelling throughout the US untill probably mid-june. How is the job market in July in Japan?
My decision is basically about my plans for the next few months. I don't want to put myself at a disadvantage by having to look for a job during a time-period where there is limited availability. Would it be smarter to go to japan earlier (Early June) or later (after the summer has ended).
I'm thinking about going the EIKAIWA route and then looking for a better job in a smaller company while I'm employed there, or just going to Japan and going to interviews once I get there. Applying abroad seems to have put me at a disadvantage and have given me less options in my experience.
Let me know if anyone has any advice, etc. to offer - my in LA is well-paying (in the internet industry) and extends mininum to late-may but I can stay as long as I want, so it's pretty flexible if I need to delay things, but I would rather leave sooner than later.
Thanks |

Given you've missed the main job window Feb-Mar, July is not that bad. There are jobs around with people heading home for whatever reason.
Avoid August if you can mainly because so many schools are on holiday. |
