Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could provide me with any information on the MY ENGLISH language school in Eskisehir. I tried to do a search but for some reason it wasn't working. It might have something to do with living in China. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Interesting choice. There are much better schools in this city offering better working conditions. My English is a new cowboy outfit operated by 4 Turkish business men with zero or very limited backgrounds in education. You may have a problem communicating with them. Since opening they have went through God knows how many teachers and the tactics employed by them have been rather dubious. My advice: stay clear.

I heard that YESDil is the newest school to open there... and that it's pretty good. Young owners who are teachers themselves.

The owners of My English own the a huge private high school on the outskirts of Eskisehir. it's not a cowboy outfit, but a school that was put together with the help of the Vice Rector of Anadolu University, the Chair of the Foreign language department at Anadolu University. The group that own the language school also own a number KPDS and University Exam courses, so they are reputable in the city. As eskisehir is a small city, word gets around very quickly there.

I have no idea about the education of My English, but I do know the owners and they are respectable people who do their homework. They invested millions of Lira into refurbishing their building off of the main street (Doktorlar St. I can't spell anything in turkish so my apologies).

eskisehir is one of my favorite cities in turkey! You would enjoy yourself there.

In the latest issue of the THY inflight magazine there is a well illustrated article on Eskişehir which makes it look like a cross between Amsterdam and Paris!

well I wouldn't go as far as calling it Paris-like, but I lived there for a year and lovd it. There is always something new to explore, if you are up for it. They also have many great restaurants and a decent nightlife, considering the university population.

My husband saw that article about Eskisehir too and was entranced, even to the point of suggsting that we overnight there on our upcoming road trip. Any hotel recommendations?
