You have posted statistics which are collected for certain countries and are thus available for scrutiny. In Gulf and other Arab countries, such statistics are rarely collected. When they are, it tends to be executed in a rather piecemeal way.
On this basis, Abba, you seem once again to be implying that practices such as rape and violence do not occur to any great extent in 'good Muslim, Arab countries'. There is a sense in which you display a certain 'smugness' concerning this.
'See no evil, hear no evil, report no evil' seems to be a popular dynamic which continues to pertain in some countries/regions, for various reasons. |
Still, rape and violence against women occur in some Arab/Muslim countries, but not as disastrous as in some of the Western countries!
Just look to the Christian Party statistics, not mine!

007/Steppy Boy, (alphabetically sorted)
This internecine war you two are having brings no credit to the website you are using.
We can all bring up instances, facts and figures to support our separate arguments, but in the end, who pays for this sort of thing?
The new readers to this forum, those who are thinking about maybe, coming to the Middle East to help teach the English language that is who.
What are they to think of such negative commentaries such as you two are making huh?
Goodness knows that we are teacher poor here in Oman. Your particular adversarial posts won't add to the numbers thinking about coming here.
If you want to fight it out, do so as responsible persons. If you are in physical contact - do it that way. If you really do not know each other, exchange email addresses so you can take it away from the forum.
