after doing more research, I realized that I am indeed a native English speaker. I hear that I would have a better shot at getting a teaching position at public schools since private schools tend to lean towards hiring caucasion native English speakers... |

With a degree and working toward further qualifications you could try for some of the university jobs in China. At my former uni we had an ethnic Chinese girl, born in Malaysia, who was a native-English speaker. Her biggest problem was not at work but in daily life when the local folks wouldn't believe she couldn't speak Chinese. It was a good school and I enjoyed my time there.
