Going on a visa run to Vietnam next week. Can anyone recommend a good tailor in Ho Chi Min? |

If there's anyway you can get there, I recommend Yaly in Hoi An, as its about the best tailor I've ever used. The suits I hade made there two years ago are still in great condition and the service is faultless.
Sorry I can't be more helpful about HCM tailors |

I never had the need to tailor make any suit in VN. It's so damn hot for suit.
I don't know the exact location or address of any tailors but there are lines of tailor shops in District 1. When you're staying at a hotel or guesthouse, ask the front desk person to recommend you the finest tailor in HCM city and talk to them. Tailors will actually come to your hotel or guesthouse to measure you with fabric samples. You don't have to move a muscle.
By the way, are you doing a visa run for Korean E-2 visa? |

ChuckE-- What do the teachers wear, if not suits?
Shortsleeve white shirts with collars and ties? Long trousers,no jacket? Or is dress more casual? |

It depends on what kinda school you work for.
Language mills want you to wear business casual: dress shirts (long or short sleeve but doesn't have to be white) and long trousers. They also want you to wear ties.
Some Int'l schools are very casual (you can get away with wearing jeans and t-shirts or golf shirts).
But it's get so hot sometimes that you want to just wear your birthday suit. |

Cao Minh on Pasteur near Le Loi is the best in town, since 1948. |

Three days in Hoi An was long enough for my wife and I to both have an assortment of business wear for us - go on the day you arrive tpick out what you want (or bring stuff to copy), come back for measuring up and adjustments on the second day and pick up on the third. That was 3 years ago and we still get good use out of it all and it only cost us about a hundred bucks each. Plus we got to have a nice holiday in Hoi An... |
