Where do you reckon the pedestrians of Turkey would feature in this list of the world's fastest cities ... Istanbul may well have its fair share of go-getting professionals, but the averages would be sent sky-high by those forty-fa.gs-an-hour characters whose movements, rather like those of a gheko, are barely perceptible ...

They wouldn't feature anywhere because:
1) they would meander aimlessly between point a and point b;
2) they would then stop abruptly at a random point, and stare at nothing. |
