I lived in Thailand for 3 years before coming to DF. Recently the Marquis Hotel on Reforma held a Thai food lunch buffet. I took a couple of my students from Tec. and they loved it. First time trying "real" Thai food. The chef that made to buffet is also employed by the Thai Embassy. He also runs a restaurant; The info. is listed below:
Bangkok
Plaza Galerias local 5
Melchor Ocampo 193 Col. Veronica Anzures
C.P. 17000 Mexico D.F. Telefono 52-60-33-05
The food at the buffet was pretty good. I haven't tried the restaurant out yet but would like to some time soon. Any one interested in getting together for some Thom Kha Gai?

I would give my right arm for some good Thai food. I live in an ethnic food wasteland--the most "ethnic" we get around here is pizza and pasta. Sadly I am too far away to join you. But thanks for the post. When I make the trek up to DF, I will definitely stop there!
