Of all the places on this big beautiful blue planet of ours, why did you decide to come to Japan? Was it for the culture? Language? Money? Fame? Glory? Women? Or, simply, for an adventure?

Inquiring minds would like to know Wink.

Really?

After you are here for a few years, you will not want to hear nor ask that question. Not to be rude, but that is the million dollar question that had been played out back in 1967.

Still, I would love to hear about your high-brow exploits.

I chose Japan because my wife is Japanese. I hate to say that because it sounds like I woudn't have had any desire to come to Japan if it wasn't for her, or I have no interest in Japan other than with her, and that isn't true, but I most likely would never have had the guts or the motivation to go without her.
Other than that, I enjoy the culture, I like 99.9% of the Japanese people I've met so far, the history is interesting, various other reasons, and not really many reasons for me not to go. Maybe if I hadn't met my wife I'd be going to China instead though, since all the things I said about Japan I also feel about China.

I absolutely love your frank honesty.

Do you think you could have gotten a similar deal, say, in Korea or Taiwan?

I came because I had been studying the language and didn't want the effort to go to waste. And I stayed (as I have said before) for the easy sex Wink

I mean, ahem, expanding cultural horizons personal growth ninja enlightenment temple sushi green tea and onsens... right?

How easy is 'the sex' in your personal opinion?

You have no need to think about 'the sex' while in Japan.

You'll be too busy concentrating on expanding your Taoist mind to become one with the universe to be doing anything distracting like that.

Hahah well my comment was meant kind of as a joke. But I have found the dating and social scene in Japan to be a lot of fun and that's a reason I decided to stay as long as I did.

Why is that going to be of any interest to you given the fact you have a girlfriend you will live away from for a year?

A man can have friends that are members of the opposite sex.
Get your mind out of the gutter.
